Is the zip broken on my inflatable lifejacket when I have opened the cover at the quick release opening?
No, it is designed to open there you close it simply by following the instuctions in the User's guide or see next question.

How do I close the cover of my zipped inflatable lifejacket?
Baltic 150N inflatable lifejackets with zipped protective cover (16):
- Pull the zip slider to the end of the longer zip side to disengage the zip (17). Pull the zip slider all the way round the jacket to the starting position at the bottom of the right hand side (18).
- Put the zip together and pull the slider anticlockwise around the lifejacket closing the zip, at the same time folding the lung as per the instructions below.
- Fold under (19:1).
- Fold under (19:2).
- Fold under (19:3).
- Fold under in a Z-shape (20).
- Fold under (21:1).
- Fold under (21:2).
- Fold under (21:3).
- Pull the slider anticlockwise around the lifejacket (22). Close the Velcro closures over the two zip quick release openings. Ensure the slider stops at the first stop on the short side of the zip (23). Close the velcro strap over the slider.
- Ensure the activating knob is accessible through the slot in the protective cover.

Can I bring my inflatable Baltic lifejacket when
traveling by air?
Yes, According to table 2.3A IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations,
you are allowed to bring one small carbon cylinder fitted
into an inflatable lifejacket plus one spare cylinder
as checked in baggage or carry baggage.

Will I sink if I use a buoyancy aid one weight-class
lower than my body weight?
No, all our products have enough buoyancy to keep you
afloat. A good fit is more important than the weight-class.

Can I buy a large lifejacket for my child to grow
into?
No, for the lifejacket to perform correctly it must
fit.

When is it suitable for my child to start using a
buoyancy aid?
When the child is a competent swimmer and over 30 kg.

Why is the neck label in my childs lifejacket
printed with 43N and 100N?
The lifejacket is manufactured for the 100N class and
43N is the actual buoyancy in that size.

Why have Baltics lifejackets in size 15-30
kg more foam on one side than the other?
We have found in testing that having more buoyancy on
one side induces the roll and shortens the turning time.

The flotation clothing is so thin will I really float?
Yes. The garments are lined with 3.5-7 mm closed cell
foam, providing the same buoyancy as all our 50N products.

Does rain and spray set off my automatic lifejacket?
No, It is designed only to activate when immersed.

Does my inflatable lifejacket need servicing?
Yes. You should service your lifejacket annually.

Could my lifejacket malfunction if it is not serviced?
Yes.

Can I wear my inflatable lifejacket under a jacket?
No, it must always be worn as the outermost item, so
that it can deploy correctly.
